New Online Tools Technology

I have to be honest and say that I’m a bit overwhelmed by all of the content for Mythology and Folklore and Epics of India. However, I am getting used to where everything is. I’m glad I took the opportunity to start these classes a week early! I have two other online classes and need to get used to those, as well. Creating bookmark folders in my browser for all of my classes was a great idea. I have so many links for each course, I didn’t even realize how many there were until I grouped them all together. Now they sit nicely at the top of my screen and I am feeling a little less all over the place. :’-D
I had not heard of a lot of these tools before, but it will be interesting attempting to use them. I do use Google Docs all the time, though, and I highly encourage everyone check it out. It’s great for taking class notes, making a resume, writing essays, etc. I used to use Word for all of my writing assignments, but Google will automatically save all of my work. I also had to write a lot in French in previous semesters, so if you need to write in another language, Google is really useful. Instead of underlining every word as incorrect like Word does, Google recognizes that you are typing in a different language and will actually fix your spelling mistakes in that language. I don’t know if there is a way to do that in Word or another site, since I’m bad with computer applications. So, if you don’t know what you’re doing half the time like me, Google!
Oops, I didn’t intend this post to become me advocating Google. Anyway, I said this in my last post, but it is still relevant here. Although I am overwhelmed right now, I am expecting to feel a lot more comfortable navigating the internet and using various tools by the end of the semester. As everything is moving to be more technologically based, even in grade schools, these tools can only serve to help me in the future.
